We create a story of togetherness. We do this through our craft and culture that inspires community. This is our Ecstatic Expression for you. For us, it’s not just the same old, same old. It’s the fantastic, wonderful, wild moments that are found in between the mundane. Our goal is connecting, tasting, and living within life's simple delights, like a shared cup of coffee with a friend. This is where the Ecstatic Expressions begin.

We have tasted, and we have seen how coffee brings people together. It inspires them and unlocks their creativity and the potential of their relationships. It's the backdrop of revolutions and the natural fuel for parenting, businesses, and romance. We want to be part of unlocking this energy, this Ecstatic Expression within you and your community.

Founder & Owner

This all began with a dream of creativity, art, and community. Within that dream was a road that led through many cities, many communities, and a world of experience in hospitality, leadership, art, and relationships.

James’ path into coffee started in 2004 as a barista. He has held various roles throughout his journey, such as Operations Manager, Regional Coffee Education Lead, Regional Project Manager for the Indigenous Partner Network, and Project Manager of Training for the Seattle Starbucks Siren Retail Roastery and Café. In his roles in Siren Retail, he had in-depth experience facilitating international training, leadership development, and launching wild new concepts such as a Mixology bar, a full Italian kitchen, and a bakery. He led others as he moved between making pizza from scratch to leading teams in creating a culture and business-shifting training material.

He gained experience from coaching conversations with operation managers to develop innovative ways for his team and the entire brand to grow and develop. Then, in Aurora, Colorado, James launched region-wide coffee education workshops and initiatives that bolstered the dynamics and culture of neighborhood Starbucks stores in the intensive years of 2020 and 2021. In all these things, James has found his purpose of creating joy, connection, and ecstatic expressions through coffee and community.

All of this led James to a new beginning. He is now forging a new path in Texas with his wife and co-creator, Madia. Ecstatic Expression Coffee Co represents a fresh endeavor, emerging from a lifelong journey of embracing our Ecstatic Expressions within the realms of business and creativity. They will carry the purpose of creating a story of togetherness while offering:
